Windows cannot load the locally stored profile. Possible causes of this error include insufficient security rights or a corrupt local profile. If this problem persists, contact your network administrator.

DETAIL - An I/O operation initiated by the registry failed unrecoverably. The registry could not read in, or write out, or flush, one of the files that contain the system's image of the registry............what do i do?

Run a chkdsk and see if the system will repair ifself that way.

I once had a corrupted user profile but I was to lazy to solve the problem. I simply moved all my folders - images, documents etc. to a new user profile that I had created with almost the same name as the old one. A few minutes work and that was done.

Then I just deleted my old corrupted user profile. I lost a few things but that was only Yahoo! Widgets and such inferior stuff that could be reinstalled. Or Konfabulator Widgets, I think the name was at the time. I didn't have much other than documents and images back then. And only a web mail.

At the time this method was the easy way out for me.
