help

Hi all
Im new here enjoying so far.
I have downloaded a program here that has lost all my system restore settings .
I can only go back one day.Also my computer was not logging on but just restarting over and over i believe i have fixed that problem.And last my defrag disk will not have all the files together like it use to some of the files are to the right and not altogether like they used to be.
I downloaded three or four programs to make windows run faster and only caused more problems then i started out with.
If any one can give me some advise i would appreciate very much

My operating system is windows xp pro with service pack 2.
I cant remember all the programs importunately that i download but there was one that was a shareware program that diagnosed fixed problems.i also still have cc cleaner that you suggested.My system seems to be running alright now expect for the defrag that doesnt look the same and the system restore that only goes back one day.Im hopping
i dont have to load windows again sorry i dont have a lot more info.

Ccleaner is not the culprit but i suspect one of the programs you downloaded was an optimization application and it has wiped your restore points to save space and unfortunately you are not able to retrieve them.

This is a hard lesson about not trusting all that the vendors say.
