Does anyone know what I could have possibly changed or deleted after an ad-aware scan, that would make me start recieving this error and message?

the parameter has encountered an unexpected error.: Parameter cannot be null. Parameter name: serializationStream

Wow. We really need more information to be of any help. What version of Windows? What happens before this error comes up? Do you launch a program and this happens, or does it just pop up for no apparent reason? Have you tried a System Restore to a time right before the AdAware scan? How about the Event Viewer; have you checked there for any error codes or ID numbers? Any other info that may seem useless can actually be helpful.

EDIT- I used Google (an amazing tool, really) and it seems that your error typically is associated with HP printers/scanners and/or the HP Image Zone software. If you use any HP printers/scanner/all-in-one units, uninstall the software completely from Add/Remove Programs, restart the PC, and re-install the software....

I am using windows xp on my HP Media Center 1070n. It pops up just after start up before I do anythihng, and it pops up with my hp image zone programs. I tried removing and re-installing my printer but that did not work, I restored my pc back a couple of days but that did not work, I then did an undo of my restore and reinstalled my HP Image zone, but that did not work. The HP Director does not work at all, and I thought I would restore back to an even further date but now I get this message when I try to restore that "Changes made to drive H: after this point cannot be reversed because the drive was either excluded from the system restore monitoring, or was turned off or removed" I don't even have a drive "H"..I don't think.... I think I am making things worse....PLEASE HELP!!!

    HI

Boot into safe mode and let us know if this stops this message popping up?

What is the printer model you have?

Check on the HP support site for an updated driver and software (HP Photo and Imaging) as this may correct the issue.

also check out this possible solution by veera here

I checked the event viewer like you suggested. There is an aweful lot of errors and warnings as well as just info when I check the system icon and the application icon. Which one will more than likely narrow down my issue?

Also, I have a hp psc 1350 all in one printer. If I delete the Hp Image zone and retart my pc, will it find it and re-installit itself? And waht about my pics, will the be deleted? I know I can view them in other progams.
