help?

I can fumble my around my computers and usually I wont jack things up to bad... occasionally I can tinker my pcs to death or inadvertently get a hacker pissed at me for whatever or download entire maleware/virus/spyware program or both or all...I can never tell

usually I just do a factory fresh restore...or..go again and buy off the rack yet another pc

but this time I said to myself...maybe if I get top of the line, I wont feel the need to tinker to death my pc and will buy and download the best protection type software available and use great passwords...

well a long boring noob story short... I did it again I think...

so either me or my 12 yr old boy got some real nasty I guess f0orm of malware installed. he either directly downloaded something bad from a minecraft mod thingy or it is my fault for tinkering a few days earlier to try to get less lag on my favorite online multiplayer war game...I dunno

I will try to explain what I know: in the game I play I was kicked out of game, where I am the admin (has been happening frequently recently...the in game console says 'high ping violation'...never before in all the 4 years I play and only on this server, has this happened

...I believe by the other gamers who I was beating badly and do so on a religious schedule...some of them hate me. and seem very savvy with the ol pc and cheatware and thus hacking and flooding peoples and game servers ips or whatever they do...because of it.. when they are pissed or something from being kicked out by some other admin for suspected cheating aimbots etc...so anyway that's that...

because of this I go and tinker with firwall settings and uac thingy and set everything as high as possible and close services and processes that don't look kosher, not that I know the differce...but ones that I don't think ive seen on a regular basis...ok so I keep playing and when my ingame score gets high and these same hacker/ known cheaters are in game, I get kicked out again and am able to get immidiatly back in game and ping is where it should be...

but my score gets good and it happens again....so whatever I uninstall the game restart pc and reinstall game and is fine for a little bit but then again...same problem occasionally...

but I can live with crappy gameing life as long as my for work programs and charts work..

occasionally ill just refresh to factory state my expensive pc and will be fine for a bit but eventually same ol same ol

now 3 days ago...my son apparently tried to and maybe did, install some mod of minecraft game and he said that the multiple monitors were all flashing error messages and power savings mode, even with him apparently doing several restarts and uninstalling...but he didn't tell me about it until..

later that night I log into my favorite killing the hacks game and while in game my screens freeze for several seconds and finally puts a error message about 'bad driver now trying to resolve' and then 'resolved' and my game continues., but the screen is looking a bit odd it was kind of wavy...I don't know how to explain...oh and I should mention that periodically for the past couple of weeks the fans come on when there really is nothing going on...

I was/am concerned about why these fans are coming on, yet thermal controller shows very low tempatures...

anyway...I continued playing game and rthe whole thing just I guess "crashed" is the word...no error messages no nothing just dead... so I wait a few minutes and push power button and it comes on with fans running at full power..sounding like a jet...and after a few minutes crashes again...

I go down and talk to my boy and he said, he was getting error messages aboutdrivers or something...less clear then me... so I go back into my office and say to myself...im not messing around I will just restore like always...then clicked 'f8' as pc was powering on...navigated to "restore to factory fresh image? option" and while the pc was doing its thing reformatting and whatever, the fans are on high even still during THIS process...I dopnt think this is a good sign of factory fresh! and as it turns out I am right this is not good at all...

so factory fresh didn't complete it crashed in the middle of process...I wait til things maybe cool down suck at pc w vacuum but absolutely zero dust...nothing loose either... and I try it again this factory restore feature..

this time it works and even tho the fan is blowing hard it still goes thru all the way...but oddly it takes a long time loading even tho it has a decent size sold state hard drive... anyway after finally coming on...it crashes again...

the next day I stomp up the stairs to my office and power on this pc and go to process viewer thing and the cpu graph is crazy going up and down all over the place and I haven't even clicked on anything..i do factory restore AGAIN

but again same thing. I try to close some of the process and applications in the task manager...but when I right click it says access denied.... unfortunately I am the administrator and my son uses my access, so access denied? seems odd tho maybe it is always like that...I don't think so...last time I tried to close a process I was able to....maybe by mistake? ugh

so remembering the message I got about driver issue, while playing game..i think maybe drivers got screwed up, when kid or me messed something up...but wouldn't the factory restore load all the factory fresh drivers?

so hopefully someone will stumble in here and read my novel and take pity and understand what is wrong and how to fix.. im using wife's pristine laptop to write this and search for solutions of other peoples similar situations...but so far I haven't seen a exact same problem as mine, but tons of differing opinions...oh and my warranty expired 2 weeks ago....

I don't want to buy a new hard drive because I think that is where the factory fresh stuff is stored on, and that would mean I would have to pay for new windows 7 pro operating system...or is it stored on 32g of ram...or should I take ram sticks out and put old 8g ram back in and try factory restore again...?

the pc sometimes will stay on for maybe 15-25 minutes tops before fans and cpu start going crazy and crashes, so not sure how I can fetch logs...but maybe I can if I know exactly what and where to look to get it and post it here?

processer is 3820 4 core...dell...alienware aurura 4 I think

I can't speak about the majority of the issues you're having, but I can about the device drivers.

Since it's apparently a Dell Alienware computer, go to the Dell Support site, put in your Service Tag Number (on a sticker on the computer) and go to the Drivers and Downloads tab. You'll be able to download drivers, manuals and other software for your specific computer. You can do this from your wife's computer and save the files to a flash drive or burn them to CD/DVD. Then use that flash drive or CD/DVD to re-install the drivers to the Alienware computer.

P.S. the problems you're having is why I don't go to gaming sites or play online games.
