Recently, I was looking into websites with drum tabs on them, when i clicked on a link, and my comp froze. I restarted it, and found dozens of adware programs that used up all of my processor, so everything was extremely slow. My dad fixed his account(btw im on win xp), but mine is still screwed up.

i just downloaded ad-aware 6 and it found 116 bad registry keys. would deleting them stop this adware from starting up with my computer? Also, i was thinking about just deleting my account and making a new one. Ive done this before, so i know it puts a folder with all of your folders and files from that account on to the adminastrators desktop. would that plant the adware on my dads account and screw it up again, also, would it mess up any programs on my computer? thanks for the help!

ok, ad-aware just finished scanning. all of the adware that i recognized that was on my comp (ezula, bargain buddy, save, etc) could not be deleted! does ad-aware automatically quarantine them?
