Hi all I'm new to the site and I'm having a problem with my laptop I keep getting the BSoD and the only thing I could get was error usbhub.sys PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA Ican't start my system without it going to a BSoD please help

XP Pro SP2

 

Did you unplug a USB hub just before this happened? This was a known problem in Win 2000 because - as M$ puts it – ‘the USB driver does not correctly handle the surprise removal of Plug and Play USB devices.’ I haven’t heard of it in XP, but it sounds similar.

Have you tried booting into Safe Mode?

 

No I didn't unplug a usb hub and I can't even boot into safe mode It just keeps restarting

 

When you say it keeps restarting, please describe exactly what happens when you switch on the computer.

Do you get a normal POST beep? Any beeps? What is the first screen you see? Etc. What AV and anti-spyware stuff do you have and when did you last run them? Are you on a network? All info’ could be useful.

 

I get the normal post beeps and everything is cool right up till it gose to the welcome screen and then it goes all BSoD. I have nortons 04 run it friday, not on a network, lavasoft ad-aware SE Pro and I run it friday as well. could it be Style XP or Spybot those are the Two latest programs I added. I can't use system restore and when I try to unstill a program I get program not responing and when it does start and I try and send a error report it goes BSoD. Should I reinstall Xp Pro all new or what

 

Ok got a new message I was in for 1min then BSoD and now the screen is all black expect for (Couldn't open drive NTLDR: Couldn't open drive) WTF
anyway here is a list of programs that are on my laptop if it helps
Divx, DVD X Copy Platinum, Mozilla Thunder Bird and FoxFire, Nero, PC Bug Doctor, Registry Mechanic, Shareaze( I haven't started it yet), anyDVD, Winace, and Winrar. Is there a program I could run that would help or something like that

 

Ok I got mad and reinstalled xp and now I got this error on the BSoD IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL I think the error is been caused by the fact that I left the usb Mouse plugged in durning the reinstall

 

When Installing windows is Best to use basic Mouse & keyboard

thank you that helps alot we'll see if my troubles are over I am just going to reinstall Xp the right way and go from there

 

Now i'm getting something about the usb controler not being installed where can I find this

 

Is there somewhere in windows that I can go to find these BSoD error messages so I can look it up and try to fix it. I reinstalled windows and have nothing on it but the drivers and software that came with my laptop WTF
