   does this meen that with this computer, if i get a router and connect to it, i will not need wires, but i can use wires if i want?

   Yes if you have a Wireless Router then yes you can on most if not all connect via wireless or wired ( Cat5e ethernet ), double check your routers specs for how many ethernet ports it has I know my Wireless ADSL Router has 4 ethernet ports and Wireless G 54mbps
