I need some help I was asked to install a PCI SATA card, BYTECC BT-PSAPA controller, inside an older computer. Which did not support SATA.

At the moment I have IDE drive in the machine and XP professional installed, I do not see the SATA drive show up in Bios, or under management tools in windows.

    Some questions,
Will there be any benefit using the PCI controller and SATA card over an IDE?
Will I be able to set it up to boot from the SATA HD?

Depending on answers to those questions, what should I try next to see this HD?

The PCI card shows up in windows, and I have a disc of drivers however I believe these are raid drivers, also I was able to download the drivers from the manufacture website and run setup.

I am sorry about my earlier post yesterday I thought I might make a new one that was a little more simple.

    Thanks for any help
