Here Is My New Rig !

Here is what I decided to build based on my budget. I may have been able to do better, and I could have done worse. Here is what is coming:

AMD Phenom II X4 955 @ 3.2
ASRock M3A770DE Motherboard
4GB DDR3-1333 RAM
Windows 7 Premium 32 Bit

I will be using my recently purchased EVGA 460GTX OC and Seagate 1.5T HD. I might by a new case and power supply. I will see how things work out with the build.

The ASRock is budget, but based on reviews it seems to have plenty of BIOS options and has gotten great reviews. I could have gotten RAM a little faster, but for my money the difference in performance is acceptable. I did pay for assembly of components and testing. I will throw the rest together when it arrives.

I am looking forward to picking up a few games I would not have tackled with my AMD 5600 X2. Surprisingly, that setup has performed heroically, lasting me three solid years and running everything I have thrown at it. I might do some minor overclocking, more out of curiosity than anything else.

Anyway, I am hoping my order arrives before this Friday, as I have the entire week off, and my gaming rig is down!

Looks like fun! It's always a good idea to get a new case for a new system. Since hardware has changed in the last few years, case designs (internal cooling routing, etc.) have been updated to keep up with the new hardware. Just something to think about.

If your power supply is a decent brand and only 3 years old, it probably won't cause issues for awhile yet.
