hey i have a little problem

    its probably easy but i cant work out how to create a shortcut for my device manager on xp .

    please put me out of my misery.

    I don't know if you can since its part of something else and does not appear via the XP menus. You could create a custom MMC with the Device Manager snap-in and save that as a short-cut. To do so, Start-> Run-> type MMC. when the consle comes up go Consle and select Add/Remove Snap-in. Add it from the list and save-as.

    You can find the file, devmgmt.msc in the Windows\System32 folder. Just create a shortcut and put it where you want it.
