hi all interrupted windows install running infinate loop

i decided to do something really stupid and popped out the xp disk while it was setting up..It actually booted the rom drive and i got excited. after days of trying to install windows 7..and seeing it skip the cd rom as a boot device time after time i was worn down. So don't judge my stupidity to harshly. When i power up i get my bios screen first then "press any key to boot from cd. windows xp screen..then the xp setup screen which says setup restarting xp setup.After that a blank blue screen the color of the xp setup screen back ground with a curser. and it will restart and loop from there without intervention...without even the xp disk

 

Have you tried putting the W7 disc in now?

 

If you put the xp disc in, it should continue setup.

 

If you can continue setup- don't press any key when prompted- then ,click to instal, f8 to accept, then choose C:, to install on, then, when it says another windows is already on, carry on until you see the writing asking to press d to delete the partition, press D, and choose to format C; partition, when The instalation is ready to shut down, have you W7 disc ready to put in, and press the release key as it shuts down to you rom drive, and swap the discs quickly,so that w7 is in the rom, on restart.
