Hi all, and thanks in advanced for any help or suggestions you can give.
OK, heres my prob, we have an ibm thinkpad upstairs in our office thats for customers to see what we offer, etc etc... Anyway about three months ago our manager cleaned out his office and left! Now no one has a clue what his password was, so its just been sitting there collecting dust! I asked our new mgr what see was planning to do with it and her response was '' I dont know, might just get rid of it.... I figured if I could get it working again might give me a few brownie points!!! I havent a clue on how to go about fixing it though!!! The only things I am sure of is.... He was the only one with a password and we dont have any type of sys. recovery disk... ANY IDEA'S!! Thanks again...

Try booting it to safe mode ....the administrator account will come up and may ask for a password ...may not...but I doubt he set a safe mode password so just hit enter ...if you get in, then go to user accounts and delete his password and or set up a new user without a password.
