Hi, I'm new and am just fascinated by the amount of knowledge here! A friend suggested I try here for help. Even if I can't find an answer to my problem I've certainly learnt the value of 'BACKUP' during my stay!!!

Anyway, my question. I was wondering if anyone has come across the term 'HP emulation'?

I have a bicycle computer that records data like speed, distance etc, that can print data straight to a HP printer or a printer that has 'HP emulation' via a parrallel cable (according to the manual).

I want to buy a new printer but don't want to be tied into buying a HP. I actually thought people who sold printers might know somethng but all I've gotten so far as an answer to this question are blank stares, "HP, what?".

Does anyone know how I can find out whether a printer has HP emulation?

    Cheers!
