hi everyone,,,,problems here

don't know where to post, so here goes.
have 4yr old dell xp home w/2g. dsl
just a couple of days ago, when i click on website/page to open, it takes min. 5mins or longer to open. in the past took only seconds.
i've cleaned disc, defrag. have cleaning programs; ccleaner, cleanup, easy cleaner, wise disc cleaner, pc pitstop optimize3. and just downloaded and ran w/ no problems, program the ultimate troubleshooter.

i hope there is an easy solution to my problem. also use ie8 and firefox.

any answers will be appreciated.

Also might want to see what is starting at boot-up. Many programs put themselves there upon installation(as if they were SO vital to you).
Clear everything from Startup list except for the Firewall of your choice, Antivirus, and some good AntiSpyware with real-time monitoring.
