Hi Grade M760 S Disassambley (Help)

Hi guys,

Can anyone please help.
I am trying to repair a hi grade m760s laptop for a friend, it has a broken dc jack. I have obtained a replacement and can not for the life of me get the laptop apart.
I have removed the hard drive / dvd drive etc and taken every single screw out of the base and can free the casing all the way round but it is catching in the centre somewhere. The keyboard does also not appear to come away from the top of the laptop like most others (or is this where i am going wrong). There definately is no bezels to flick up to gain access.
I have phoned hi grade and they say they do not have service manuals. (What a joke).

Hi, ive just taken one of these apart as the motherboard has blown in mine!
The secret is the keyboard does come out from the top! puzzled me at first too! if you look in above the top row of keys there are 3 or 4 catches that when pressed in release the keyboard but u have to try and get something small to hook it outwards as u press in the catch. Be carefull when you free it tho as there is a large ribbon connected to your motherboard, just release this and it will come away.

I have a similar problem to Gary, (a DC jack fault) but having removed all screws and hard drive, I have not been able to remove the optical drive and that must be the only thing holding the case in place, Any help would be appreciated, Thanks

Not sure if this will help, but you might want to take a look at the Clevo M760S manual. The Hi Grade is supposedly a rebadge of this computer. Here is a link for the manual. Use the drop down box to look for M76xS.
