ok,first off, a couple of weeks ago my bro started to play with a boss mod for diablo 2, (I know your thinking that this is a game issue, its part of it but theres more that doesnt have to do with gaming so bear with me),anyways, things started acting funny and my comp has started to slow down like big time. I havent had this problem before though,so I am at a dissadvantage on how to fix this problem that Im having. In addition to the random slowdowns, it will freeze every once in awhile, forcing me to restart my computer, and ill be checking out the cpu temp and it will be,and has been, almost 119 at times. Im afraid im gonna burn up my cpu at this point and I am trying to figure out what else I can do. another major problem Im having is that while trying to reinstall d2, it will restart my computer, and when Im able to, the sound is all distorted and it will slow down as well. then theres the question on why I am not able to run it in 3d. I have tried using system restore and have found it to be a waste of time and it is irritating to say the least. any help is appreciated at this point and if you feel the need to move this post that is fine by me,lol. I havent been on here in quite some time. thanks alot.

p.s, sorry I should have read the "plz read this first before posting" well here are my specs

    windows xp
    1hd 40 the other hd 30
    radeon 7000
    64meg memory
heh Im not sure where to find the rest of the info pertaining to the cpu and the rest that youd like. hopefully, this will help you out since this is what you asked for. once again, thanks.

I suspect that your problem lies in the low memory you have

windows xp requires that you have at least 128 to even function properly. add the diablo game to that which probably requires 128 or so then you have major issues there.

upgrade your memory to at least 256

You also need to see if you can lower down your processes go to this link

Definately you need to upgrade your memory
