   hi, so here's the deal. i recently had to downgrade my graphics card due to some problems i had with the last one, and ever since then my desktop background has been off center.

   would this be due to my downgrade of the card? or is this some other problem?

   Could try........
   
   Right click your desktop in a blank area and choose properties > click the Desktop tab and in the dropdown box under Position adjust the way the picture is placed on screen.
   
   If downgrade of card, then check the screen resolution and adjust up or down.
