   when inserting a blank disc in my cd/dvd drive it does not recognise it it says error cdfs.sys error might be corrupted can anyone help please

   Try this :-
   
   Go to the drivers directory and rename cdfs.sys to cdfs.old
   expand the version from your install CD to the same location
   ie. expand d:\i386\cdfs.sy_ cdfs.sys
   
   
   restart the computer.
