Sounds like my week, except I'm the cadaver Sorry you're stressed but it looks like you're on the right track for better things!

I'm in testing and diagnosis for a slew of medical issues and an impending surgery which will, ideally, end most of them. *Fingers crossed* Then i can get back to the business of taking over the internet.

I'm hoping for a good weekend! I was asked to a friends' game night - I hate games, and I hate hanging out in groups of people I don't know, but I really like her and I need to get out and meet more people, so I'm going to fake it for posterity Then Saturday I take my daughter out to shop for her middle school graduation dress. She wants to wear red.

Did I mention Kahlyn was going into High School? She was like one when I joined MG. Time flies.

What about everyone else.

 

Hi Wenchie, Plans for today are to relax, check on a few friends, and later this afternoon going to fire up the grill and enjoy time with family and appreciate being able to do that! Makings of a good weekend!

 

I like it. I would love to grill out! But today is weather fit only for fish.. (4 inches of rain!) Have fun with your family!

 

It's FRIDAY!!! :-D Told my boss I felt a bad case of anal blindness coming on for Saturday. I just can't see my azz going to work this weekend.:-D

 

It's almost 9am Saturday morning here and I'm going out to Scorptec to pick up the bits for my new PC build. When I get back I will be like a little kid at Christmas opening all the boxes LOL

@Wenchie I hope your surgery goes well and have fun at the game night What will they be playing? Car games or shooters or role playing games or maybe adventure games....:cool Maybe it will be old school games like twister or spin the bottle roflmao

@David looks like you're very busy.... maybe you should stick a broom up your backside so you can sweep while you walk around roflmao ...but seriously you probably should ease up a bit, that is some workload

Yes! Bariatric surgery is scheduled for 6/23. Also Hernia repair, same time. Trying to grow my own clone army from scratch really messed things up. I guess when I'm on the mend I'll have to find a new way to form my evil republic.

Excited, it should alleviate all the pain I'm in, and all my health issues should start to melt away, then I can get my back repaired, my neurologist can actually find what's hurting me, and all sorts of personal goals that got thrown to the wayside can get fixed!

Hell, I might even start dating again. Crazy.

But for tonight, I guess I should go make myself appear human, supposed to leave in half an hour. I like everyone's suggestion of wine.

Also I'm completely jealous of your new rig parts. So much.

 

My Brokeitus usually flares up Monday morning, so far only cure I have found is to work, am looking at other cures. :-D

Anyone doing anything fun this weekend?

We went to the local shelters to see if we could fine someone to love. The local SPCA had over 100 animals brought in from animal cruelty seizures alone this week, and are pretty overwhelmed, but the only one that really stood out hasn't been through vetting, quarantine, medic, or seen the behaviorist yet, so he's not available.

We went to a secondary shelter and found two that we were so torn between that we decided to leave because we can't afford both right now and would definitely have done something stupid like try. hehe.

We have some ducks to get in a row before we try, and I really need to gate the area behind the house. But I really really need a dog. I just do. I have a hole in my life, and the only thing that will fill it is a dog, but I need to line up those ducks and get some more finances under me.

The rest of this weekend is mostly going to be spring cleaning. The junk porch (no storage in my tiny house) and the back yard. Nothing fun.

But I just "ordered" wine, so my night is about to improve substantially. (Ordered meaning I demanded my roommate go get me some or I'll kill him)

 

I cooked. Did a prototype of croissant wrapped bacon and cheese, was OK, but I made some mistakes. Could not decide what I wanted for dinner, so made meat pie. Ground beef, mashed potatoes, bacon, and cheese, how can that go wrong. Actually turned out very tasty.

Sunday, I am off to find .45 ACP ammo. Going to meet some folks from another forum in a small town in northwest Arkansas next month, and shoot some very high end 1911 guns... Can't wait.:-D

I know, I live on the edge, but that is how I roll.:cool

 

Friday I went to the last home game of the current AHL playoff series.

Today I spent some time at my sister's trying to figure out why her new cable modem will let her internet and TV work, but not her phone, then came home and cooked. Catfish with red bell pepper, cucumber, green onion, and a soy-sesame-ginger sauce; rice noodles with red bell pepper, peas, shredded carrots, and a teriyaki-peanut butter-honey-ginger sauce. And fresh morels, sliced and saueed in butter.

Tomorrow is a rousing day of laundry, cleaning the house, and getting ready for my first physical therapy appointment Monday morning.

 

Can you come cook at my house? The food we eat here is SO boring because autistic children wont eat anything the wrong texture, color, or that touches. Oye. I miss food.
