Hiding files or folders

    Is there any software or any method of hiding files or folders and of prohibiting the viewing/editing/deleting of those files by anyone else?

    I have tried it, it is free, and it works. Takes a bit of practice though.
    You could also copy them to cd, dvd, flash drive, and then secure under lock and key.

    It sounds really interesting!
    I was going to recommend Hide Folders XP, but it only hides the files and folders without any encryption, and the files are viewed easily if accessed by another OS on the same computer (A system that doesn't have the program installed).

    I'll read the docs of TrueCrypt right away.
