    Specs:

    AMD athlon quad @3.2
    ASUS M4a78-E
    Some 700w crap brand psu
    4gb ddr 1200mhz ram

    AND

    GeForce 9600GSO

My gpu temps while foldong and gaming are reaching 65 celcius!

Is this normal? will the card have a shortened lifespan if i run it at this temp regularly?

My cpu temps rarely exceed 35 celcius during gaming.

Graphics cards made within the last 5 years will work with lifespan problems up to temperatures of 80 degrees C. Some very minor reduction of lifespan may occur between 80 and 100 degrees c, and anything above this is dangerous.

    Ah ok, thankyou!

Was getting a bit worried there.

i use speed fan already for temp monitoring.

I have a corsair H-50 water cooling all in one kit.

That'll keep your CPU nice and cool.:major I've been seriously considering an H50 for my i7 build.

    H2O might be simpler. :-D

The H20 can't support the power requirements for electronic equipment. It is designed to power life forms and hydroelectric dams, not advanced computer equipment.;)

Yes, the h-50 has exceeded my expectations in EVERY way!

It was very cheap, easy to install, and keeps everything nice n cool!

I am so happy with it!

I am toying with the idea of adapting one of the push-pull models to cool the air at the intake of my GPU, I am sure it can be done with a little ingenuity.

My CPU does not need cooling as it is stock and run well within the temp range.

What it is i am running a GetForce GTX295 and have been trying to get it to run cooler while under stress.
There is an air intake on the case of the card and a circulation fan the it expells the air out of vents on the top of the unit.

I am running a lot of power inside the PC so it is warm even in a cold room so i will try to modify a cooler unit to force cold air into the GPU.
