High Resolution Celebrities

I've decided that I am going to do a room in my house with those black & white celebrity posters & other things fitting to the theme. Trouble is, the posters are about $30 each, so it could be a while before I'm finished with it.

I have a wide format printer at the office here & the ability to print up to 18" x 24" pictures in good quality. Looking on Google Images, that puts me at 20 MP pictures so that I can shrink / crop to my size.

If you know of any links to pictures of this size, please post them here. I'll make them black & white myself if I have to, that's not a problem. I've only found a couple so far. I think I'm going to start by purchasing Audrey Hepburn & Marilyn Monroe from Blockbuster in town.

What kind of celebrities are you after?

There's not much on Google at that size.

I've found a couple just browsing around. I don't really have an idea as to which celebrities or what kind of celebrity.. Like I said, I know I can get an Audrey Hepburn (Breakfast at Tiffany's) poster & a few different Marilyn Monroe posters.

Other than that, I found Taylor Swift & Paramore this morning on google. I saved them & made them b/w, so I may or may not use those.

I'd love one of people like Jack Nicholson / Christopher Walken.. More interested at the moment, in just finding the pictures. lol

Even if there's a company that sells the posters, so I don't have to rely on what is in stores.

Shouldn't be too bad either really. $150 worth of pictures, some paint.. Not too bad. I just don't think it's going to be permanent. LOL

For now though, should be awesome.

I don't think my idea is going to work after all. I tried printing one out, and it keeps coming out with a green tint, either over the whole picture, or starting about 1/3 of the way through it. I can't keep wasting ink hoping for a miracle. LOL oh well..

Pax, get at least one picture of yourself in B&W and insert in the middle of the others. When you sell the house they will all wonder who is in the pic!

 

I should do something like that. But I think people will struggle enough with the likes of Alison Sudol & Duffy. lol

I think I got it to work, printing them.. Hope I'm not speaking too soon. Here are a few pictures that I found, in case anyone else is interested in this type of thing. Some aren't as big as others.

I have this program, I bought it in order to have the CD but I believe you can download free. I have used it to make pictures using 4 to 6 sheets of printer paper. I never took much time with it.
