highlighting copy paste not working

Hello folks, for some reason my copy and paste function has stopped working..When i hold the mouse over a page to drag and highlight so i can then right click to cop,y the second i let go of the mouse the highlighted area dissapears giving me no chance to copy..

My mouse is just a generic mouse, works fine..

Any help would be greatly appreciated..

Now if i try it on this as i am writing i can highlight these words and copy but on a web page this will not happen..Strange.

 

Which browser are you using?

 

Firefox..I never thought to check it out and see if it works in IE..I will check it out now..

 

Excellent i checked and it works fine in IE, so it is a fault with my Firefox..

 

I have fixed it thanx for your help..Strange thing though, i uninstalled it ran reg supreme also deleted the folder from programs then i installed it again and all my old settings are still there inlcuding session saver (cannot live without it) It is an extension for firefox it remebers your last pages you were on before firefox shuts down, so when you restart firefox it loads up with all the windows and alst pages you were looking at..very handy..

I just do not understand how it could of done this considering i did a full uninstall. Never mind all is good again, so again thanx a lot..

I had a similar problem although it didn't involve copy and paste activities. Any hyperlink in an email wouldn't work. Did some searching, and found that if I made IE my default browser, everything worked as was supposed to. I did this once and then set IE to check if it was the default browser, opened FireFox and all was well. Hope this helps!
