Hijack Help

Just recovered from a bad dose of coolwwwsearch but even before this when i load up my pc with msconfig stopping msn, quicktime my pc loads up then it takes roughly 3 minutes for my intro sound to play and soundmax panel to detect my soundcard, i dont know what this could be so i am going to make a hijack log, is hijackthis the correct program??

 

forgot to mention, after the sound has activated then even though i have stopped msn and quicktime loading up with msconfig they load up! and while i am waiting for my sound to load up i can actually close mcaffe and when my sound loads this boots back up lol

 

also just noticed that while in ie i cannot edit my toolbars everything has been greyed out except customize

 

As you didn't mention getting help in the SpywareSpecific section of this forum, I would suggest that you visit there, as there are very smart folks there that deal with issues such as this.

 

i posted in this section as its nothing to do with spyware lol i am asking why my soundmax is taking ages to load up

 

Did you try defragging the hd yet? Maybe time to do so if you have not. I would personally install diskeeper to defrag as it works better than ms windows defragmentor. Only thing is its a permanent fix as it removes the one installed by windows. But give a defrag a try and see if that helps. If ms is not helping you use diskeeper which you can get here on mg.com.
