Hijack problems...i think? (help please)

    Hey all,
    I have recently been hijacked by the heretofind thing, but have used hijackthis and your tutorial to work on that. i will find out at midnight if it worked or not i suppose, because as we know, it comes back after the temporary solution of using spybot.
    however, something strange has also occured at the same time. If i don't type in http:// before every address manually, it does not automatically add it for me. I simply receive an error message. This is a huge annoyance when you are not used to it, trust me. I have my hijack log ready if it is desired.

    There have been several threads relating to heretofind already. Do a search and look at them, especially this one: http://forums.majorgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=40404&highlight=heretofind

    You may see that your problems with http:// are due to your default prefixes being changed. See the O13 lines in the HijackThis lines AbbySue posted.

    You should also follow all the steps in this Sticky thread < READ ME FIRST: Basic Spyware, Trojan And Virus Removal >

    If you already have any of the programs linked in the tutorial please double check your version to make sure you have the latest one and that you have any/all updates for the programs.

    NOTE: In order to resolve the issues you are having it is very important that you at least try to perform all the steps as outlined. If you have any difficulty please post back letting us know what steps you have completed, what you found while doing the scans if anything and details about any problems you have encountered in completing the steps. The more details you can provide the better.
