Unlike most of the posts i read here, I have a diffrent problem. I think I over deleted in hijack this. Some strange things that started happening after this are as follows: The red yahoo logo on the yahoo main page no longer exists. Also, when i go into my hotmail, after i log in i get a blank screen. if I go to my favorites and hit hotmail again, then it brings up my mail. I don't know if these problems are related but all seemed to start at the same time i installed (and subsequently overused) hijack this. Any suggestions? Any way to restore these settings to the way they were?

Only if you ran Hijack This from its own directory. If you did, go to info, config, backups and choose a backup and select the restore button.

I went back to the last restore point, unfourtunatley the last restore point i have access to is after i made the changes. Maybe the log shows what I'm missing?

    Hi Mosstree,

Looks like you might have a problem since you ran HJT from the Desktop.

Try this: Open HijackThis > look in the box in the lower right labeled "Other stuff" and select CONFIG > select Backups & see if they are still there. If they are, select Restore.

If you must run HijackThis, you should place it in its own folder - C:\Program Files\HijackThis - I suggest you move it there.

Also note that there is still a lot of malware in the log you posted. You would be well served to run through this Cleanup Tutorial:
