hijack this is the bomb!!!!!!

thanks for the advise guys. apparently hijack this did the trick and i can now access all my mail with the browser remaining open. what can i do to avoid this attack in the near future? firewalls etc?
P/S let people know that the hijack link has the feature where is analyses the log without having to go through the teadeous task u describe in your note. Just a suggestion. Thanks all the same
