I just did a complete system reformat, but right away I began experiencing problems. Basically, when I start up XP, it lags for about 1-2 minutes, and won't let me open most of my programs until AVG Resident Shield has started up in my tray. I'm thinking this could be AVG related.

Does anything in my hijackthis log look out of place?

    Thanks!

Nope, thats pretty. I wonder how much of your resources are wasted by your Hewlett Packard software, I never saw the point of having multiple printer programs running unless your constantly printing.

Go to your control panel, administrative tools, services and stop and disable Nvidia driver helper service. Also, right click on a drive in Windows Explorer and uncheck the indexing service. Couple little tweaks that may help you some. Aside from that, I dont have system specs to guess what could cause such large slowdowns.
