Hello! New on here, thanks in advance for any help you can give. Had older version of Norton, tiried to upgrade but have not been able to load it - but that's another story. Went to Weather Underground one afternoon and all hell broke loose. Ran Highjack This, and the log is attached. Can anyone tell me what to do? Thanks, Todd

My apologies - I just saw the notice on not including logs until asked. Hope it does not cause problems. Thanks, Todd

I see you now noticed but here is the speech anyway. HijackThis is the last step and we have rules about how and when to post a log.

Please follow all the steps in this Sticky thread READ ME FIRST BEFORE ASKING FOR SUPPORT: Basic Spyware, Trojan And Virus Removal

If you already have any of the programs linked in the tutorial please double check your version to make sure you have the latest one and that you have any/all updates for the programs.

NOTE: In order to resolve the issues you are having it is very important that you at least try to perform all the steps as outlined. If you have any difficulty please post back letting us know what steps you have completed, what you found while doing the scans if anything and details about any problems you have encountered in completing the steps. The more details you can provide the better.

NOTE: You should read the tutorial in this Sticky thread NO HIJACK THIS LOG FILES BEFORE READING THIS: HJT Tutorial & LOG File Posting

Do not post a HijackThis log until we ask you to and when we do it must be text document attachment to your message. To do this save the log file and select manage attachments in a new thread to upload it. All running programs should be closed, including your web browser, e-mail, items in the tray, anything you can close... Close before running Hijack This!

Do NOT run Hijack This from the Desktop, a temp folder or choose run from the download. Place it in its own folder, for example C:\Program Files\HJT

Then see this link if still having problems: When all else fails - Generic Solution to HSA (Only the Best) & About:Blank hijack

Yes - sorry about that - going through that stuff now. I did a google search and hit a specific thread where someone had sent their log, so I registered here and did the same - didn't see the warning posts until after I had posted. Again, apologies. Todd

No problem! Just run thru ALL the steps and give us some results info so we have a feeling for what may have been on your system. Tell us if you have any problems running any of the steps.
