Hijacked Desktop

Hi,
I just successfully (I hope) removed three trojans/spyware from my PC. (bum39.exe, winstall.exe, netxo.exe). McAfee and Microsoft Antispyware could detect them but not clean them completly. Somewhere along the line some program changed my desktop to the enclosed "desktop.html" file ...warning that my PC was infected.

Now, Control panel --> Display --> Desktop is frozen an no changes can be made. Any ideas how to regain control?

Thanks D3,
That fixed it...it was SpySherrif. Still something going on though....after I ran smithfiles and logged back in, Micorsoft AntiSpyware caught a BHO called tqmpe.dll...thought I had killed that one. Will run Panda ActiveScan.
