I am new here in forums althterough I have visited this site many times.
Im not sure as to what forum to post. I just know I need some help.
My computer is an Acer laptop with wireless. It seems that someone has taken over control of different things on the system. Set themselves up as an administrator from another computer.
I have no access to my WMI, even as administrator. Can not shut down Group policy client. No access to the buttons when I try.
I have reloaded the system a few times from the recovery console but it still happens. Not sure what they did. Can anyone help?

Well, a few thoughts on your subject.

Has the labtop worked in the passed, and what changes from your normal routine have changed?

Typically (from what I see as a Technician), when a Control Panel is locked, or Administrative powers are taken away, you have been struck with a Virus/Trojan. Running through methods of virus removal can be lengthy, but can save your system.

If willing, a full system restore is the most effective way to go.

Whats the Acer used as? Work? Home? What is your most common use for the Machine? Have downloading habits changed? If so, the above statement could be said to be true.
