History Cleaner for Firefox?

Hi Guys,
Just wanted to know which is the best History Cleaner for Firefox? Seems that most are written for IE. Also, I have Ccleaner and think it is great, but is it doing the job for Firefox? Also. I have it set for 7 passes and wonder how it can make 7 passes so fasy? Thanks for any input on this question.

When you start CCleaner (the latest version anyways), click on the 'applications' tab. At the top there are several check-boxes with different FireFox options. It seems to work fine here for cleaning out FireFox. I hope this helps.

You can also delete history etc in Firefox itself. Go Tools>Clear Private Data then in the window that appears select what you wish to delete.

 

Not hijacking this thread, but using CCleaner with all options checked does not seem to clear my Address bar!! Neither does the FF option to clear private data?? What am I missing?? Using FF v3 TIA & Cheers...

Ccleaner clears it out for me, but Firefox must be closed while it is running. You also need to make sure the Firefox/Mozilla options are enabled under the Applications tab.

 

Also by default CCleaner doesn't clean everything. You have to change the setting.

Go into Options > Advanced then uncheck Only delete files in Windows Temp folders older than 48 hours

 

Thanks for the tip on un-checking the 48hrs folders, had not seen that before.
But the ADD bar refuses to go LOL, pretty hysterical. Though it does not bother me.

 

Thanks, great link. But to delete the the history or bookmarked links in the bar one still has to delete manually. CC does not do it as you mentioned, neither does FF tools. Slightly user unfriendly I'd say. About config simply lets you see what you want to see, or not.

What has Adrynalyne done to manage.

Both methods work for me. HOWEVER, my bookmarks will still show up in the bar, even after deletion of all the data.

Are you sure these aren't bookmarks you are seeing?

Thanks to ALL you Guys, Great discussion. Guess I learned something. Ccleaner is as good or better than all these other programs that charge for them. I love this site. It is the best of its kind on the net.
