History Files being deleted daily

I just wanted to say "Thanks" because every time I come to this site, my inquery gets answered. Once again I need help. My History files are set up to be deleted after 21 days but they are all being deleted at the end of the day. Any Help is appreciated. I just reinstalled my XP Program so I don't know if that caused my problem.

Hi

What browser you using is it IE, Firefox, Opera etc?

Double check in IE Tools > Internet Options > Advanced tab, that under Security "Empty Temporary Internet files folder when Browser is closed.

Also check that Autocomplete for webpages is enabled in the Tools > Internet Options > Content > Autocomplete Settings.

Also do you run any cleaning applications daily like CCLeaner etc as they by default clear the History list too. even some Internet Security Antivirus all in one applications do this too, so check they are not deleting the Browsers history lists.

Halo-- Big Thanks. I think my CCleaner may be the thorn in my side regarding my History files. I uncheck History in it's scan hoping this will resolve my problem. Your IETools suggest was already unchecked so that wasn't the cause. I'll know tomorrow if everythinbg is OK
