   Any idea why Hitachi decided to remove AAM management out of his Feature Tool in release 2.13 and later?
   
   Problems with the feature itself? Didn't fit no more in a diskette image with growing number of drives supported? Something else?

   No idea, why not email Hitachi support and ask? its always best to get information from the developer.
   
   Wild guess is that since the tool was updates their HDDs dont need Automatic Acoustic Management or that if you RAID (can be noisey at times with multiple HDDs in Raid arrays) them the AAM doesnt work as advertised so it was dropped from developement, but thats a wild guess as I dont use Hitachi HDDs.
