Hiya Majorgeeks!! Excessive Fan use when on Internet

I am new to this forum and not sure where to turn for help as I am not even sure what is wrong with my computer. I have an HP Pavilion with AMD Phenom(tm) 9750 Quad core processor 2.4gh, 64 bit operating system with 8gb memory. I am having trouble figuring out why when i get on the internet, the fan in my computer goes absolutely nuts, revs way up, slows down, then revs back up again. It never shuts off or shuts up. God forbid if i try to open word or anything else on the computer, it sounds like its going to have a heart attack. I could really use some help as this is making me crazier then I already am...lol

Hi

Which Windows version are you using?

Which Browser are you using?

What security applications do you have installed?

A quick test is boot into Safe Mode (F8 at boot and choose Safe Mode with Networking) then try the internet out, is it still the same?

If its not then possibles are your antivirus/security software or a addon to the browser, to open the browser in its no-addons or safe mode (both IE and Firefox have these modes) and see if its still the same, if it is not then disable all the addons (in Microsofts IE's case only the non Microsoft ones) then enable one and re-start your browser, and keep doingthis until you find the culprity, and let us know what it is.

You could also scan for malware and if any found then start a new thread in our malware removal forum and attach the requested logs.
