Hmmm what did i get at goodwill this time ;)

Got me some goodies at goodwill today.They sell them by Pallet and i got the best looking one they had ($70) I just started looking over the stuff. seems the twin towers are working just fine. The newer one would not start up and the first thing that popped in my mind was check the ram and yep one of the 2 ram slots is messed up so i pulled the ram stick and it started XP home right up There both Compaq 5000 Series but one is a 1.3ghz and have 256mb ram and the other is a 600MHZ with 256mb ram. I have not had the chance to check out the other 5 towers but they are abit older

Nice find! I can usually get a decent CRT at the local Goodwill for around $10, looks like you made off like a bandit!

Neato buy, NJ :cool. I'm always bargain hunting, myself. Not just with comp. stuff, but just about everything. If you don't sell them, some of those P.C.'s might be okay as servers, or something.

 

Anyone else reminded of the tribbles in the Enterprise, only with computers in NJ's living room? LOL

I seen worst then mine lol i got to go through all the stuff and see what works. I am hoping the old Laptop works its a Toshiba Satellite Pro 410CS when i plug a cord into it i get the green little plug light on and the batt light on but if i push the power button the batt light goes off and the power cord light starts flashing yellow and nothing on the screen so i pull the cord out and its still flashing so i pull the batt then plug it back in and get the lights all over again If i had the money i would of bought the other 2 pallets lol

 

Nicely done... I usually go to the county auction here and get stuff like that, this last one didn't have squat tho .

LOL...that's seriously worrying - someone else who thinks like me. It was the first thing that popped in to my head when I saw those pics of NJs living room. I guess when you start to see computers as animated objects, you know it's time to log off
