'Twas the Night Before Christmas – MajorGeeks Edition

‘Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the house,
Not a hard drive was whirring, not even a mouse.
The floppies were stored in their cases with care,
In hopes that old software would just stay... where?

The geeks were all nestled, snug in their beds,
While visions of VR danced in their heads.
And I with my toolkit, and RTX in tow,
Had just finished tweaking my custom-builds glow.

When out on the lawn there arose such a clatter,
I sprang from my desk to see what was the matter.
Away to the window I flew with a dash,
Knocking over my tablet and old CD stash.

The moon on the screen of my ultra-wide view,
Gave a luster of newness to devices so true.
When what to my wondering eyes should appear,
But a miniature sleigh and eight tech-savvy reindeer.

With an overclocked GPU, so lively and slick,
I knew in a moment, it must be St. Click.
More rapid than fiber, his updates they came,
And he whistled and shouted and called them by name:

"Now Adobe! Now Windows! Now Macrium Free!
On Steam Deck! On Quest Pro! On Raspberry Pi 3!
To the top of the tower, to the edge of the net,
Defrag away! Debug away! Clear every threat!"

As AI predictions took my servers by storm,
And NVMe drives kept my data so warm,
So up to the rooftop, the reindeer they flew,
With a sleigh full of gadgets, and St. Click too.

And then, in a twinkling, I heard on the roof,
The ticking and whirring of tech gadget truth.
As I grabbed my headset to join in the play,
Down the chimney St. Click came with a sleigh.

He was dressed all in cables, from head to his boot,
And his clothes were still smoking with soldering loot.
A bundle of software he had flung on his back,
And he looked like a coder fresh off a hack.

His eyes – how they twinkled! His dimples – how merry!
His cheeks like red LEDs, his nose like a cherry!
His droll little mouth was curved in a smirk,
And his beard glowed softly, like a circuit at work.

The stump of a stylus he held tight in his teeth,
And the smoke from his solder circled like a wreath.
He had sweet curved monitor strapped on his back,
And on his belt a holster for VR game packs.

He spoke not a word but went straight to his grind,
Fixing Aunt Sue’s printer one more damn time.
He unbricked a phone and revived the SSD,
Then updated the firmware on a smart OLED.

He reset the router, and Wi-Fi was saved,
With a quick BIOS update, the PCs behaved.
Then laying a finger aside of his key,
He left a free upgrade to Windows... maybe.

He sprang to his sleigh, to his team gave a whistle,
And away they all flew like a Wizard Magic Missle.
But I heard him exclaim as he drove out of sight,
“Happy tweaking to all, and to all a geek night!”

.................... This what happens when I get bored. Merry Christmas!
