hole computer issue

    ok i have a dell demension 4400 that has as followes
    a intel pentium cpu single core 2.6ghz/512/533
    2 1gig sticks of mem
    a nivdia geforce fx5600/256
    a seagate 40gig 7200 baracudda,a seagate 80gig 7200 rpm
    a dvdrw/cdrw with light scribe dl
    and windows vista ultimate
    my issue is when you unplug all the cabels off the computer and it sits for a few hrs and plug it all back in (SOMETIMES)when you hit the power button to turn it on nothing happens the light is on on the mother board but nothing happens????????:confused??????????and some times it will power up just fine . now if i leave it pluged in and every thing u can turn it off and restart and all that and every thing is normal,no problems. now after you unplug it for a few hrs and plug it all back up IF and SOMETIMES u can leave it alone for a hr or more and comeback to it and hit the button every thing works agen but i have to figure out what the problem is soon b/c i can t sell it with this problem i dont want some one to see it on and say "i want that computer" and i sell it to them and they get home and boom nothing happens.that wont look good on me.so all help will be appreciated. thank u for your time.:major

    Frankly sounds like power supply problem, or could be a kinked wire somewhere. Have you run a chkdsk? Does the HD or CD ROM try to test itself by running and whatnot?

    ummmm yes i have run chkdsak and verious other little tools aswell and every thing is comming out as exelint,but i have kinda thought the same thing you have about the power supply so ill check if thats the problem ive got like 8-9 power suplies just laying here so.ill check and see if that is and let you know.thank you v ery much for your imput and hope you have a wonderful day:wave:major

    ok i have found a solution to my problem and i am now on the right track......i found this......http://support.dell.com/support/edocs/systems/dim4400/codes.htm#1101590 and now i under stand what my problem is.
    so mabie an admin may want to keep this post hany incase some one needs info for tha same problem...just a thought.thanks for every ones help.:wave:major
