I agree though... its insane..

back when I bought my Ti4600 when it was the best, it was only $400

 

Or you could buy a 9800 and get only slightly worse performance.

it's because it has DUAL DVI, so you will need either DVI->VGA converters or 2 LCD's w/ DVI.
the version without dual dvi is a tad cheaper ( albeit not much )

 

Dual DVI, so you could run a monitor and a high-def T.V.? That could be sweeeeet!

 

I really doubt thats whats making it cost so much.

If you noticed the reference preview card was dual DVI as well.
