    Hello~

I am having a problem with my home network and am looking for advise on how to fix it please!

I have three computers: Computer #1 is a desktop and the "Main/Server" computer, Computer #2 is also a desktop that connects to #1 via a router, and Computer #3 is a laptop that connects through wireless. I also have two printers connected to Computer #1 (one a Lexmark all-in-one, the other an Epson photo printer) that previously all three computers could connect/print to. Recently I had to restore #3 (the laptop) back to factory settings. Prior to doing this I was able to print to both printers, however I am unable to connect or print to the Lexmark although I can connect and print to the Epson.

Computer #1 can see both #2 and #3 files and print just fine. Computer #2 and #3 can connect to each other and see/share files just fine. However, when I try to access #1 using either #2 or #3, I get the error message "Not enough server storage is available to process this command". And up until yesterday #2 (the second desktop) could print just fine through the Lexmark; now when I view Printers in the Control Panel it says "Cannot connect".

I've done a Google search for the server storage error message and find that it is a relatively common problem between Windows and Norton Anti-virus and includes a fix to the Registry Key IRPStackSize. However, I don't have Norton on any of my computers; I use Esets Nod32, which has never been a problem previously. If I decide to make the change to the Registry, I'm confused as to which computer this change should be made on (Computer #1), or does the change need to be on all three?

Any advise and help/assistance would be greatly appreciated!!

    Thank you in advance,
    Nancy

You stated that "Computer #1 is a desktop and the "Main/Server" computer", What Operating System you using on this PC? I've had you problem with PCs running NT4.0 Server and W2K Server Software. The fix with the Registry on the "host PC" or as you stated Computer #1, is the one that you need to make the registry fix on. :)

This site should be helpful to make the change,

Thanks mig29, I'll try changing the IRPStackSize and let you know how it works out.

FYI - I may have my terminology of server wrong for my set up. I do have three computers (2 desktops and 1 laptop) however what I may have incorrectly referred to as my Main/Server computer is actually the desktop with all peripherals attached and the other two computers connect to the printers, etc. through the main (or I guess Host?) computer.

Also, I an running Windows XP on all three computers. Have not yet made the leap to Vista, and not sure I want to............

Thanks again. I'll be in touch.
