I want to create a home network between 2 home computers.
I have a Compaq server, with no OS installed.
I want to install a windows-based OS with IIS features
ex. http:\\localhost\ will bring me to a website on the Server.
    What OS should I use?:confused

Doesn't that rather depend what you have available to you ?

IIs 5 and above will install on Windows 2000 server and above.

A restricted version of IIs is included with windows XP professional (not home)

"to allow users to manage simple web servers" quoting Microsoft.

This may be enough for your purposes

I have access to ANY version I want through ZulTrax
    Should I use Server 2003...
    I've heard GOOD things...
