home networking problem

A few days ago we had a power outage and since the power came back on the only computer that can get oinline is the main one. The 2 other computers on the network cannot. I tried to reinstall the programs again, but that didn't work. The main computer shows a connection at 10.0 mbps. The other 2 computers show a connection at 100.0 mbps. I just can't figure out why one computer can get online and the other 2 cannot. I really hope you can help. I'm goin crazy without internet.

 

Might be that you want to explain what “Go on line” means? I.e. what are you connected to.

If it is a Cable/DSL Router, try to connect the second computer to the same port that the working computer is onto. If it works, it means that your Router is partially Fried and you need a New one.

Otherwise, debug the Network of the None Working computers.

In General, you can debug the Network Settings of a computer by following these steps.

Step One. Check the Network parameters in the Computer’s Device Manager. Make sure that the Network Card drivers are installed correctly; i.e. there is No IRQ conflict, and No Ghost installation. http://www.ezlan.net/faq#ghost

Step Two. Verify Basic network setting in the OS: http://www.ezlan.net/Installing#verify If the above two Steps indicates that every thing looks good but functionally it does not work.
