    Hi,

My house is wired with two CAT5E cables, each with 8 wires.

They all run to the telephone network box.

I have 3 phone lines that take up 12 total wires (they double each set of wires, so instead of 2 wires per line, it's 4 wires per line)

I have 4 extra wires left. I wanted to run a network cable upstairs. Putting a new cable is too difficult and wireless is too expensive right now.

I used a network keystone jack with the 4 wires that are left in my office on the main floor. I ran a network cable from my hub to it.

I then used a network keystone jack upstairs with the 4 wires and ran that to a hub.

However, I can't get any signal at all.

Anyone have any insight as to how they might have wired my house? OR how I can get it to work. My telephone lines in the jack upstairs all work great, but network traffic won't.

All help is appreciated and thanks in advance,

    Oliver
