    Ok im at work now, but heres what ive done

    Ive ran the Hijack this and cleaned it out. I also ran a tool called HSRemove.
    I went into safe mode and done this.
    I actually got it to my about:blank homepage and then it said installing office now. And reload itself.


    I really need help this thing is wild aggravating.

    Are you sure your problem was HomeSearchAssitent? Or was it about:blank?
    What version of HSremove did you use? Where did you download it from?

    Im very sure its HSA. That darn thing is put pop ups all over. When i do all the HR stuff it still acts like its reinstalling the ms office. I will have to go home and get that infor for ya ty for the notice ~ :)

    New version of HSremove (2.36) is on MGs today.

    You never told us your OS!!!

    After running HSremove, there have been reports of people having problems with various programs needing to be re-installed or getting messages form msi (Microsoft Installer) etc.

    If still having problems with HSA try the below with the new HSremove.

    1) if system restore is not disabled, then disable it but don't reboot when it tells you it is required. To do that see: http://forums.majorgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=31668

    2) **** this is very important disconnect from the internet (physically unplug cables) **** Don't re-connect until told to!
    3) reboot in safe mode (I assume you already know how to do that)
    4) run HSremove 2.36
    5) Reset Web Settings by right clicking on IE and selecting Tools, Internet Options, Programs, then click Reset Web Settings. Now go back to the General tab and specify your home page (like www.majorgeeks.com)
    6) reboot normal mode and reconnect to Internet
    7) post HijackThis log
