Homegroup In Windows 7

I was running windows 7 and had a homegroup. I recently reformated windows 7 that was running a homegroup. But i didnt not remove the homegroup from the network. After i reinstalled Windows 7 with a different computer name the old computer name still shows up with a home group and allowing me to create a new home group. I have tried a couple things that i found but nothing is working. My other PC's on the network still think there still on the original homegroup and cannot remove them. Need some help.

And yes, there is some work involved, but be patient while you go through the steps.
