let me start with this: my pc is fine, running well, no spyware/virus but when i log into hotmail or if i bring it up through msn messenger it just keeps loading forever but see nothing?

has this happen to anyone? all the other websites load fine its only hotmail. It doesnt give me a Page cannot be loaded screen or anything, just the little line on the bottom shows its loading. I left it here for 3 hours and it keeps just loading and nothing shows?

    any ideas?

Any pop up block or active X notifications?
Try adding it to your trusted sites list..
    Tools> Internet Options> Security> Trusted Sites

Assuming you are using Windows XP, try this:
    1) Right-click on Start button and scroll down to:
C:\Documents and Settings\yourusername\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files and DELETE everything in that folder.

    * if you do not see the 'Local Settings' folder:
Start > Control Panel > Folder Options > View select 'Show hidden files and folders' option > OK > re-do steps in #1

    ~ also check on this:
    2) Start > Control Panel > Internet Options > Privacy > Edit > make sure the site is not listed in the "Block' section. Again on the Privacy page click on Advanced button and try overriding cookie handling to Allow on all accounts to see if that helps... let us know. ;)

if I can confirm which one of you is a majorgeek administrator I could give you my access to my hotmail account to see if there are any probs.

hmm after some investigations I have found the following:

    - after I sign in IE attempts to go to the, I presume my hotmail inbox using the following (incomplete for security) address: http://by103fd.bay103.hotmail.msn.com/cgi-bin/HoTMaiL?curmbox=00000000-0000-0000-0000-000000000001&a

Now if I delete those ZEROs from inbetween the percentages then voila! it goes to my inbox and i can see my emails. However I cant click on them or open them.

    - this leads to the next problem I have found: ERRORS ON PAGE. Here is what the little triangle with excl. mark brought up:

    Line: 28
    Char: 1
    Error: Object Expected
    Code: 0
    URL: http://by103fd.bay103.hotmail.msn.c...0000000-0000-0000-0000-000000000001&a....blah blah

    Anyone understands this issue???

I've been having problems too. usually takes me 3 times to get in and it's only been happening recently. I found that changing my user agent type in FireFox to IE6, often got me in on the first shot.

I am not feeling well so I will make this sort, you are using IE, right? the actual IE not a IE-based browser, I never have any problems gettings in hotmail, I dont use it normally but whenever I tried it it is fine. Assuming your account is good, try deleting the other types of cached files:
    ~ Internet Options > Content > AutoComplete > Clear Forms > OK
    > Clea Passwords > OK
then go back to 'General' tab, click on 'Settings' button and change the 'Check for newer versions of stored pages' to 'Ever visit to the page'
    > OK > close IE, re-launch and test it (also type the URL do not use a favorite, type the full address ok? (www.hotmail.com)

    Good Luck.

Had the exact same problem that started about a month ago and it aggravated the heck out of me. I have two computers in my home (mine and my husbands), and I could access the account on his computer, but not mine. I FINALLY figured it out today!

Ok, on my computer, when I try to log into hotmail and it shows that blank page, if you look down the bottom in the bar there will be a little eye with a red minus sign icon on it. Double click on it. Then click on SETTINGS which is on the bottom right hand side. Click on the SECURITY tab and then select RESTRICTED SITES. Click on the SITES button. Scroll down in that list until you see *..atdmt.com Click on it and then hit REMOVE. OK it. Apply the changes, etc

If you have any pop-up blocking software or other security software make sure the atdmt.com is not in their restricted website lists. Reset your computer and then try logging in again. That should solve your problem.

    ;)

Oh yeah, if you don't see that little eye and minus sign icon you can also do it this way:

    TOOLS
    INTERNET OPTIONS
then click on SECURITY and resume the instructions
