Hourglass permanent with pointer

    I am a first-timer here and have one question: how do I
    get rid of the permanent hourglass that is showing all the
    time alongside my pointer? I have Windows ME - the hourglass
    started showing after I visited a website for Free Egreetings.
    BAD MISTAKE!! I know!! Any help for me that isn't greatly
    technical would be appreciated!

    Open Control Panel

    Double click on mouse.

    Click on the pointer tab and see if you can change it.

    The hourglass shows your computer is busy, and if you don't know what it's doing, that is not good.
