How 2 start Mcafee scan w/ Wdos Task Scheduler ???

How to start Mcafee scan from 'Windows Task Scheduler' (want to keep Mcafee 'Virus protection' disabled, and therefore apparently cant then use Mcafee to schedule scans) ?

Process seems to be mcshell.exe but cant find that file on my hard drive.

Would like to have Mcafee start scanning without needing any manual input as it would be scheduled for the middle of the nite.

Ideas ?

Am fairly familiar with how to use WTS, but think the question is what Mcafee file (that will open and run a scan) to use with the WTS.
Ideas ?

Note the work around in the post, re process might be this: mcods.exe

Did find mcshell.exe, but it only starts the scan dialog screen which needs someone to 'start' the scan.
None of the other Mcafee .exe files seem to do it (tried all that I could find in C:\Program Files\McAfee, including 'mcods.exe'.
Mcafee version: 8.1

 

Sorry I don't have McAfee to look for you but does not look like an option for what you want to do.

 

Good luck with your effort, but with McAfee real time scanning...why bother with WTS?
