How about a new rule?

I've been watching a lot of spam threads and bad threads, and ppl keep responding to them. Which makes the thread bump the top and more ppl see it. So in the end, its helping the spammer out. Perhaps you could update the rules to include a sentence or two to tell people not to respond to these threads, and instead just use the report post button?

 

That particular topic is not so much a rule, as it is a guideline.

Yeah thats what should be done, but a lot of ppl just respond saying stuff like "screw you spammer" or "mods, can you get this guy" and stuff like that. Instead, it helps them by bumping the thread.

 

I'm new to this "thread" stuff; forgive my ignorance. What is a "spam" or "bad" thread? (And am I a victim?!? I refer, of course, to the "fighting" thread. If that's what you mean, I'll shut the f*** up.) And what is "report post"? By the way, Neo, the DeviantArt site is very cool.

 

Spam is like when a computer bot or a person comes on here and floods the forum with advertisements. and when i say a bad thread, i mean like where theres a lot of fighting going on btween members, and people are getting out of hand.

The report button is in the top right corner of every post, its red and has a ! in it.
