Hey all I am slowly adding new things to my pc so i know i need a bigger PSU

    My specs are

    - Asus m2n32 Sli Deluxe mobo
    - Amd 6000+ x2 cpu
    - 2gb Corsair ddr 2 pc6400c4 ram (2 x 1gig stiks)
    - 2 x Sata DVD
    - 1 x Sata HDD
    - 2 x IDE hdd
    - XFX 8800GT XXX EDITION 512meg Core Clock 670Mhz
    - Asus Arctic Square cpu cooler (unless someone knows a better one for that cpu)

+ I am getting a new case that will have a lot of fans with a Cold Cathode or 2 ....

So how big of a PSU would I need for that and a good solid working one as well. I heard Thermaltake are not that good for PSU's..

    Thx in advance,...

This can accurately determine what wattage you need, I suggest adding at least 100w to the answer to allow for upgrades.

As far as brands...Antec I would say is the top dog.

I have always used Ultra cause of the price and never had a problem. But I also have a comp that has been running a super generic 400w PSU for about 4 yrs without a hickup, but I always walk on eggshells when I enter the room!!

You will typically find that most people base their opinions on personal experience.

So is it better going single rail? A lot of PSU's I look have multiple 12v rails so I thought it would be better getting one with multiple...

Ok thanx for the replies i am slightly getting confused lol. I understand that multiple rails are not any better then single rails but a majority of psu's come with multiple rails now it is harder to find single rail psu's.
I am an aussie and the main store I get my pc gear from is http://www.gamedude.com.au What would be a good psu from them...
I know I am contradicting myself here but I like the thermaltake toughpower 750w PSU. That should be alright should it not.??

I am also kinda looking at a PSU with a bit of good looks about it like the Mirror finish. Not like the Corsaid PSU's they are just ugly..
